DCO Report

by Claire Mason

Well, I think it's safe to say we had a FABULOUS time at the DCO Expo Day last weekend.  It was a glorious sunny day, there were lots of interesting stalls to look at, and we had a lovely crew of choir members to represent us.

Some of the highlights included the lovely name tag holder Margeurite generously made for us, Sylvia tinkling away in the background as we talked to people about the choir, and dancing along to the RMC band as they were playing outside.  We even managed an up-tempo version of The Call in keeping with the thumping band beat!

Most importantly, we talked to many lovely people about the choir, and had a great time singing through our repertoire - with lots of great feedback!

A big thank you to everyone who came to help out on the day and made it a great success.  If you got some photos, please send them in!

DCO Expo Day

by Claire Mason

Don't forget, DCO expo day tomorrow!

AMWC Canberra choir members will be there from 10am to 1pm.  On top of being there to meet, chat and talk about the choir, we'll also be singing a few short mini-rehearsals, to give everyone a taste of what we do.

Current members - join us!  Even if you can only come for an hour or so, it's great to have lots of the choir there.

Thinking about joining?  Come and say hi!  We'd love to meet you.

Military Wife is being recorded

by Claire Mason

Reactions to that news have ranged from WOO HOO!!!!! to *gulp* and everything in between!

Yes, we're recording Military Wife, and we're doing it in Canberra.  The recording date is set for Thursday 19th March, and we'd like every voice we can get.  Even if you can't manage to come and sing regularly, if you can make it this one rehearsal, it would mean a lot.

It's not going to be too scary, we promise.  At this stage we're only recording audio, no video, and we'll be running over the song before we record it, to get all those jitters out!  Cath assures us that we sound amazing every time we sing it, and there's nothing to worry about.

Please come for this landmark event in the AMWC history!
